Key elements of the presentation will include:
Part 1: Why do institutions need repositories?
Part 2: How to get the most out of your repository:
Full and detailed explanation on how institutional repositories are used – e.g. primarily for content management, preservation and the dissemination of key research findings (but also used as a shop window of the university/as a marketing tool).
Part 3: Case Study examples:
A couple of examples of how some institutes have worked in building, setting up and implementing their repository and the journey we took with them in doing so.
This presentation is of key importance to those interested in repositories, and more specifically to those especially wanting to find out how to implement a repository and the steps involved in using a repository to support open access.
