Abstract

Thomson Reuters is introducing a number of new solutions to our Academic & Government customers. The Web of Science scope, multidisciplinary coverage and depth will be enhanced this summer with the addition of 56 years of the most critical, high impact Social Sciences coverage. Over 300 titles have been added covering the core period from 1900-1955, multidisciplinary coverage of the world’s most important social sciences literature.

BIOSIS life sciences databases deliver current, multidisciplinary information, covering more fields of life sciences research than any other database in the world. In 2009 we will be releasing a new resource, the BIOSIS Citation Index on Web of Knowledge. It combines cited reference searching, citation navigation and all ISI Web of Knowledge platform features with BIOSIS specialized content.

For decades, those schooled in the field of bibliometrics have based many of their studies on citations and have accessed the ISI citation indexes for basic data for their studies. Today a new suite of Web resources is introduced, our Research Analytics platform. The first of these is InCites that will greatly impact the efficiency and impact of Research Evaluation and Assessment. InCites supplies all the data and tools an institution requires to easily produce targeted, customized reports. We will show Austrian data in this new format to highlight Austrian institutional research.
