The university of Zürich

Breslau, Zürich
Since
negotiations with the University of Vienna during Christmas of 1920 have failed, the
Schrödinger's move to Breslau at the beginning of the Summer term 1921 with Erwin acting
as ordinary Professor in theoretical physics paid out of special funds. Although
Schrödinger is very happy with his position and environment, he nonetheless writes to
Stefan Meyer in Vienna on July 12, 1921: "Now listen: I will probably not stay
in Breslau but move on to Zürich at the University there." |
