Erwin Schrödinger is looked upon as the inventor of the theory of wave mechanics. To understand his theories, please follow the brief introduction on the following pages.

Quantum Theory

In our daily experience physical quantities and states are changing constantly. Classical physics provides a satisfactory explanation for these phenomenon. The microcosm, the world of the smallest particles (in the order of a billionth of a meter), is governed by different laws. There, change may happen suddenly as well. Such occurrences can only be described with Quantum theory.
