for Physics I Important problems of physics could be solved based on Schrödingers achievements: In 1927 Heisenberg discovered the principle of uncertainty (uncertainty relation) which says that the product of certain physical quantities shows an uncertainty (lack of focus, diffuseness, imprecision) in any case. The lack of focus only occurs in the microcosm and cannot be perceived by the reality of our ordinary experience. In 1927, von Neumann provided the quantum mechanics with a precise mathematical statement (Hilbert Space formalism). In 1930 the Schrödinger equation was generalized for the case of relativity (Schrödinger, Kudar, Dirac). |
