First Years at the University
On
October 1, 1919, Schrödinger takes up his first post with Professor Exner, for whom
he works as a research assistant for the next couple years. Schrödinger starts out with
experimental work but soon realizes that he is not suited as an experimenter. In April of
1913, he submits his "Studies on the Kinetics of Dielectric Media, the Melting
Point, Pyro- and Piezoelectricity" to be admitted to the faculty. His habilitation
(tenure) becomes effective on January 19, 1914. |
